Prommuni — Privacy Policy
Effective Date: June 9, 2025
Last Updated: June 9, 2025
Prommuni, LLC ("Prommuni," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect your personal information when you use our website, mobile application, and related services (collectively, the “Platform”). By using the Platform, you agree to the practices described in this Privacy Policy. This Privacy Policy is designed to be transparent and easy to understand—because we believe protecting your data should be straightforward, not a legal maze.
Why This Matters
At Prommuni, we’re not just building an app — we’re building trust at scale. From the first message to your move-in day, privacy isn’t just a feature. It’s the foundation of our entire community. This policy outlines how we earn and protect that trust, from day one to day 1,000.
Scope
This Privacy Policy applies to all users of the Platform, including prospective roommates, listers, sublessors, tenants, and any visitor accessing our website or mobile application. It governs all interactions with Prommuni’s services, whether through a browser, mobile device, API, or integration.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of information to deliver a safe, relevant, and high-trust experience on the Platform:
A. Information You Provide
• Account Info: Full name, email, phone number, password, date of birth, school/employer, roommate preferences, lease dates, and location.
• Profile Details: Biography, photos, budget, lifestyle tags, and other self-submitted info.
• Listings/Subleases: Property details, rent, duration, photos, and communications related to listings.
• Support Inquiries: Messages or attachments you submit to us via forms or email.
• Roommate Reviews & Ratings: If you opt to leave or receive reviews, those may include subjective assessments or behavioral comments that form part of your profile reputation. These reviews are visible to matched users.
You retain ownership of the content and information you provide, and we only use it as outlined in this Privacy Policy.
B. Automatically Collected Information
• Device Data: IP address, browser type, device ID, OS, referring URLs, and location (if permitted).
• Usage Data: Pages visited, clicks, match interactions, time spent on features.
• Cookies & Tracking: We use both first-party and third-party cookies, local storage, beacons, and similar technologies to recognize you, measure usage, and deliver relevant content and ads. You may adjust browser settings or use cookie consent tools to manage preferences.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your data to:
• Platform Functionality: Create and manage your account, roommate matching, messaging, and listing tools.
• Personalization: Tailor search results, suggestions, and match rankings.

• Improvement & Analytics: Analyze usage patterns to improve functionality and performance.
• Legal & Compliance: Fulfill legal obligations and protect our rights or user safety.
• Automated Decisions & Matching: We may use algorithms or machine learning to generate roommate suggestions or personalize your experience. These models enhance discovery, but all matches are non-binding. You may edit preferences or override match suggestions at any time.
• Data Innovation & Platform Integrity: We may use aggregated, anonymized data to improve our algorithms, enhance platform reliability, and support academic or market research. This data cannot be traced back to you.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We may share it under the following limited circumstances:
• Other Users: Profile elements, photos, roommate tags, and communication history may be visible to matched users as part of the matching and messaging system.
• Service Providers: We engage verified vendors (e.g., hosting, analytics, identity checks, customer support) under strict confidentiality and data security contracts.
• Legal Compliance: If required by subpoena, court order, or lawful request.
• Business Transfers: In the case of a merger, acquisition, or asset transfer, your information may be transferred as part of the transaction.
• Public Content: User-submitted content such as profile bios or listing images may be publicly visible. Do not upload anything you wouldn’t want public.
